First, as a random note of where I’m at, I just went to the library. I got three books: Battle For Hue (first hand accounts from Marines in the battle for Hue in 68), The Tarot, history symbolism and divination, and Collected Stories of Carson McCullers. lol I’m not sure which I want to read first, but I’ll probably start Carson tonight.
So, Carrie started her cleansing process yesterday, which is a little early. She only made the initial diet changes, and is allowed some coffee and her cigarettes until they are gone. She’s doing good so far, though she feels weak right now. The real hard stuff will come tomorrow or so when the cigarettes are gone and she has to fully give up nicotine, caffeine and all phone calls and tv (with the exception of sports that puts her in a good mood). I am also trying to make the diet changes, though I can’t eat every 2 hours with my job. But, today was the last meat I’ll have for another week or so, and with the exception of my fruit and fiber bar I just ate I haven’t had any processed sugar. Luckily I found a gallon of apple cider yesterday so that helps satisfy sweet cravings. We also have tons of grapes and apples and such. I just forgot to bring snacks with. I’ll just go eat supper a bit early tonight.
So far, so good. She’s even taking the nasty liquid vitamin B supplement I got her. lol But, as she gets the wheat out of her system and can digest better she can take other vitamins. I know she’s starting to feel the effects of this diet, and I have noticed my stomach isn’t as upset as normal, which is good. I haven’t even had the desire to eat any fast food or drink soda yet. But I also enjoy eating well, I usually eat the crap out of convenience.
Well I better get ready to go eat. I’ll get a start on one of these books before digging into the couple hours of mentoring duties I have to catch up on tonight.

wheat?
Think Carrie might have an allergy to gluten?
(It is very common these days.. and oft times overlooked)

That’s kinda the point of getting the wheat out of her system. Though she’s just sensitive, not allergic.
